***Mr. Flapan's Computer Club ***
News:
The Computer Club will be discontinued in April.
Our last meeting is March 29.
Please join us again next year!
Join us in the Computer Club!
- We meet every Monday from the time school gets out until 3:30pm in the
MB Computer Lab.
- The Club is student-driven...all activities are at their request (or
their request for options/suggestions).
- Activity options include making webpages, animations, games, projects,
and more! Or just to have some additional time with the computer and
our software.
- Club is open to all HCS students.
- Maximum of 20
students.
- Methods of arrival and departure are up to the participating
students.
- A parentally-signed permission slip must be on file with Mr.
Flapan in order to participate. It can be viewed
here. It must be returned on paper (due to
the signature).
- This club and attendance are voluntary. Students
may come to as many or as few sessions as they wish. A sign-in sheet
will be kept on file for attendance purposes.
- Attendance (or lack
thereof) and activities conducted in the club will not affect anyone's grade
in Computer Class (although they may work on homework).
See ya in the Club!

Mr. Flapan's Homework Policies
- Assignments are due on their due date at the beginning of class, with a
five-minute grace period. This rule is in place to ensure that
homework is not done during class. Assignments turned in after this
time are late.
- Late assignments are due one class period after the original due
date. It is the student's responsibility to submit any late work.
- Time between class periods ranges from 2-5 days. May be more due
to holidays, weather, etc.
- A late fee of 10% is assessed on all work that is turned in late.
- After this time (which is always at least a full week later), the
assignment is forfeited, and a grade of zero will be issued.
- Appeals and exceptions may be made due to extenuating circumstances
(emergency, computer problems, etc). However, more credibility will be
granted if the teacher is notified before the due date.
- If a student is absent, they will be allowed an extra class period to
submit any work with no penalty.
